Getting Started

Install

1. Download the Accent Tap Hub from accenttap.com and open it.
2. Sign in. Your products appear in My Products.
3. Click Install on Pitched Percussion.

The Hub installs everything: the app, the AU and VST3 plugins, the instrument library (~/Music/Accent Tap/SamplerInstruments), and the Sibelius files. When Update appears, click it — updates are small unless the samples themselves changed.

Play

1. Open Accent Tap - Pitched Percussion (or add the plugin to a DAW track).
2. Click the instrument menu in the slot header and choose an instrument.
3. Play a MIDI keyboard, click the on-screen keys, or type — the keyboard icon in the top bar shows which computer keys play.

Gold keys at the bottom are keyswitches: they pick the mallet, not a note.

The window

• Top bar — Multi-Preset (saves the whole rack), type-to-play keys, Stage and its power button, and MASTER (a limiter keeps the output from clipping).
• Slot header — collapse (–), instrument, preset, Edit, Mapping, Settings, MIDI channel, voices and memory, volume, pan, Solo, Mute, close.
• + Add Instrument Slot adds another instrument. Collapse slots to see the rack at a glance.

In Sibelius you rarely add slots yourself — they appear when you press play.
